REDEFINED: A JOURNEY TO RECOVERY

October 25, 2020 @ 4:00 am - 1:00 pm

Open to all parents/guardians and students in grades 7-12

Stephen Hill created Speak Sobriety in hopes of showing the reality of substance abuse to teenagers.   He is an author, graduated with honors from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and is currently a student at Brooklyn Law School.

Stephen focuses on the progression of his drug addiction—beginning to end—leaving people with a better understanding of how decisions they make today will affect them for the rest of their lives. The trifecta gateway drugs of nicotine, marijuana, and alcohol introduced to Stephen in 8th grade by his varsity lacrosse teammates was just the beginning, by older peers was just the beginning, eventually leading to self-destructive behaviors, criminal convictions, a deathly opioid addiction and an inspirational recovery.
