Join the Tall Cop as he highlights drug trends or as he refers to it, “High in Plain Sight”. In addition to the knowledge and ability to identify those who might be abusing drugs and/or alcohol, this training will educate you on the trends associated with the most popular drugs, new vape trends, including marijuana concentrates, and concealment methods. There are several identifiers, logos, and terms that are commonly related to marijuana (leaf and concentrate) abuse, over-the-counter drugs, and vape pens.

The session includes over 65 visual aids and covers the following topics:

• Popular drug items
• Over-the-counter drugs used by youth (and some adults)to get high
• How Covid-19 has changed some of the illegal drugs
• New vape trends
• Marijuana concentrates

Attendees will be able to:

•  Identify alcohol and drug use and abuse indicators of possible at-risk individuals, through products, stash compartments, clothing brands, lingo, music lyrics, etc.
• Recognize the current drug culture at first observation, search, or interview
• Identify concealment methods for alcohol and drugs, including on persons, in rooms, and in the classroom or workplace
• Identify new vape trends, including marijuana concentrates
• Recognize area-specific alcohol and drug abuse information and content in relation to trends, culture and identifiers.
