Drug Trends and Threats from the Pandemic

A Parent/Guardian Workshop
David Hymowitz, a licensed social worker with 30 years of experience in the human services field, discusses current drug trends. David has recently joined the not for profit, We Are All A Little Bit Crazy, within the agency’s #SAMEHERE School programs, developing workshops for staff and parents and integrating wellness into school districts.
This workshop for parents/guardians provides information about the drugs threatening our students’ health today and in the near future. It will explore social values, customs and norms that promote substance use among students, as well as marketing techniques that target school-aged children. It will also examine the pandemic’s impacts on substance use and self-medication.
