Mental Health Awareness for Parents
October 10, 2018 @ 6:45 am - 8:15 am
Each year, 1 in 5 kids aged 13-18 develops a mental health condition, including anxiety, stress and other behavior issues. This can be a troubling experience for parents, who need to understand how best to care for their children. What do parents need to learn about mental health awareness? How can you identify when your child is struggling with a more serious emotional problem? What community resources exist to support a journey to healing?
Join Ellen Ritz, president of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for this important conversation. Come with your questions and concerns, and learn key tools and strategies for coping and transformation.
