Chocolate Works Supports CASA & SCA mission to further children's physical, emotional and social well-being! Parents and caregivers were invited for ice cream and more after Manhasset elementary and middle school spring concerts! Chocolate Works gave 20 percent of the sales for purchased items to CASA and the SCA. The store is also displaying CASA's Talk. They Hear You fact cards in the prevention of underage drinking. Saturday, May 30, 2015 – Manhasset Youth Join Town of North Hempstead's Bullying Awareness Walk!
Manhasset CASA and Sector
Member LICADD hosted a resource table at the Town of North
Hempstead's (ToNH) Bullying Awareness Walk at North Hempstead Beach Park in
Port Washington from 10am to 1pm. Students from Manhasset Secondary School as
well as schools from across the Town of North Hempstead walked to bring
awareness to bullying in schools. Manhasset youth spoke during the walk about
research indicating a connection between bullying and substance abuse.

Campaign stickers to all take out delivery pizzas! The Campaign now provides parents with a personalized Action Plan (click here) to help make having that conversation easier today - and in the future.

Jacy Good and Steve Johnson. Since Jacy Good’s miraculous recovery from a
crash caused by a distracted driver, she and her husband Steve have worked
to
educate the country about the dangers of cell phone use behind the wheel.

Manhasset CASA's Youth Committee were Teens As Teachers for Kick Butts Day on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The teens highlighted factual information regarding the dangers of e-cigarettes and the influence tobacco marketing on teens to all students in grade 7 Science Classes.
Manhasset CASA and the Manhasset Public Library hosted Saving the Life Of A Loved One: A NARCAN/Opioid Education & Training Program Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. This program is sponsored by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, Nassau County Legislator Richard Nicolello and the Nassau County Office of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Developmental Disabilities Services.
