Manhasset CASA & Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice
Work Together to Reduce Underage Drinking

Kathleen Rice, Nassau County District Attorney and Manhasset Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse (CASA) developed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) reminding parents and residents of the legal consequences of underage drinking.

Produced and directed by Manhasset resident Dan Easton and Joe Piscioneri of Studio 4 Communications, the PSA, Parents Who Host Lose The Most: Dont Be a Party to Teenage Drinking will air in the Manhasset, Port Washington and Great Neck Clearview Cinemas beginning Memorial Day weekend.    Manhasset CASA will also provide ticket holders with Fact Cards which provide residents with essential details about Nassau County’s Social Host Law.   The law, makes it a crime for a host, age 18 or older, to provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.

The Parents Who Host Lose the Most: Don’t be a party to teenage drinking. It’s against the law  campaign, was developed by the Drug-Free Action Alliance, and partners with members of the community in order to educate parents and residents to the health, safety and legal consequences of underage drinking.
